Thankful for artists everywhere.

I love painting... and I love seeing other artist's paintings and other works of art. I have a few very well known favorites... my "influences". I also thoroughly enjoy seeing art from millions of people I know nothing about... they make the world interesting and a lot of the time, they decorate the world with a funky flair that shows us something new. For as long as I can remember, I have always loved going to galleries to take in other artist perspectives and unique abilities. Sometimes I stay too long... sometimes I can't get enough. I drift off into an art world and imagine what the artist felt, or what they are saying... what they thought as they moved across the blank and created that place or that world. Maybe they were just escaping reality and in that time, created the most beautiful masterpiece or a place that comforted them. Maybe they just needed a place to vent. Either way, I'm thankful for all the artist in the world... and I'm thankful for God, who gave me the ability to paint and create. He is the ultimate artist.

Thankful for Larry Reid for encouraging me as an artist while being an amazing artist himself and my MOM... who believes in me and loves me. ~ Love them.

Thankful for my family and friends ~ so supportive of my new journey.

Here are a few of the artists that I love... just to name a few:

Van Gogh - Took a picture with his self portrait in New York, and Sunflowers in Amsterdam.

Taking in the Haystacks - Monet inspires me.

Walking through The Vatican and taking in the wonders all the way to The Sistine Chapel where I stood and cried at the work of Michelangelo. (not allowed to take a picture in there)

The Mona Lisa at The Louvre... Thank you, Leonardo da Vinci.

The Hallway at Serene Hills Elementary School... so many artists... hope they keep enjoying art!
