I've been watching as the bluebonnet season is starting to end... I appreciated the flowers even more as I was studying them to paint. It is sad to see them go, but they always come up again every year! I'm now selling the bluebonnet paintings at Adams Galleries of Austin. I also plan to have canvas prints made for those interested in the painting, but not ready to own an original.
My most recent favorite is Blues and Pears. Anywhere you drive in the Texas Hill Country you are sure to find Prickly Pears (sometimes not prickly) and Bluebonnets. I love the cactus... love painting them.
Here is a picture to show the size of the painting relative to a room...
My beautiful friend Dana Bocock bought my first bluebonnet painting. I'm so grateful it is in a loving home, and thankful for her excitement and encouragement! Love her so much!
Oh, and by the way... my mom is back from Santa Fe and made it to the Gallery with me for a visit. ((Heart explosion)) I love my mom and I cherish time with her.
My sunflower painting is there now... I'm having a hard time parting with it. I love Van Gogh and thought of his paintings the whole way through this one... Sunflowers are my favorite flower in my home.
